Happy New Year- 2008

I often struggle with New Years Resolutions so instead of setting a new record of disappointment I decided to take a different direction. I am breaking out my Buddha ways and sharing with you some Santanastasio wisdom. For many of you who know me we have had our fair share of "drama" this year and it is my resolution to plot a new course to avoid it all together in 2008. There are things that I have learned in my lifetime that I wish to share with all of you. I have learned that if you carry jealousy to close to your heart you will change the face of who you are. If you wish ill will on someone it always turns itself around and finds its way to you. If you live your life with kindness in your heart you will be rewarded and if you have the decency to be true to yourself you will always prevail. Your true character always lies beneath the surface and everyone has that moment of truth when you show the world the type of person you are really made of (good or bad the choice is always yours). You have to live with the choices you make and can never really point a finger at your mistakes because ultimately it is called a choice for a reason and ultimately you made the wrong one. And lastly, you have to live with the person that you have become and if you turn around long enough to see the destruction that you leave behind, you will see that the path that you are on is a solo one. With this said, I have had my moment of truth and I will no longer bring drama into my life. My husband found an inspirational verse on someones desk in his office and he brought it home becuase he thought of me and after you read it I hope you find all the peace that it has brought me. I wish you all for 2008 the same clarity that I have come to find. I wish you peace in your mind and love in your heart and with that anything can happen.....

Everyone Can't Be in Your Front Row
Life is a theater- invite your audience carefully.
Not everyone is spiritually healthy and mature enought to have a front row seat in our lives.
There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.
It's amazing what you can accomplish when you LET GO, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not going anywhere relationships/friendships/fellowships!
Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?
When you leave certain people. do you feel better or worse?
Which ones always have DRAMA or don't really understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you? When you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
You cannot change the people around you... but you can change the people you are around! Ask God for godly wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the front row of your life.
"Just because no one has shown up who can love you on your level, doesn't mean you sink to theirs!"

I have found an abundance of peace, joy and happiness in my husband and the family we have created together. We will welcome 2008 with a stronger appreciation of each other and a clear path forward for our lives. The direction that you choose to take in life begins with your first step. I hope that everyone finds their happiness, and you are always welcome to share in ours. To my husband, to my parents and to my friends... thank you for giving me the support, love and guidance through the years to make me the person that I have become. It has certainly been an interesting journey and sometimes the path has gone astray, but every encounter good or bad has taught me something and shown me what to take with me on my journey. It is very comforting to know that for every step I take there is always someone behind me to keep me moving forward. I have been truly blessed!---Happy New Year
