Well, this post is dedicated to Ray. He was born two days before Christmas 34 years ago. I am a firm believer that your birthday is your own personal holiday, but I am born in May so I clearly can not feel the unfairness. Being born two days before Christmas does not not have many perks. I try every year to make it as special and as separate as I can but we always manage to get lost in the shuffle. This year I tried less to avoid the fact that he is a Christmas baby and embrace him for the gift that he is. So this year we made him a Christmas tree birthday cake and we enjoyed every minute of it. The girls had a blast singing Happy Birthday and again, Ava was just happy to have some more cake!
