Well I know I have been blessed with an amazing husband but never has it become more apparent how much of a team we are than this weekend. First of all let me preface this with how much more hectic our Decembers are in addition to the Christmas crazies that go on. We have our wedding anniversary, Ashley's birthday, my husband's birthday and then of course, the parties, the swaps, the exchanges, other peoples birthday's in which our attendance is requested, the parades, the programs and the functions....am I missing anything. Well with that said, we had to have a birthday party for a certain special little five year old girl who was just as excited as ever about the fact that she is turning 5 and that makes her a whole hand old! She has been really coming into her own lately and expressing the gigantic personality that comes in this tiny little package. We decided to do a birthday party at our house in which the kids will cook. Make their own pizzas and cookies do a food related craft and play a food related game. It all sounded good in theory but of course December being December it absolutely snuck up on us. I had it all organized out to the letter I just did not know how it was going to come together. Not to mention that the morning of the party, I had to be at a dance function from 7-10 and then take my older daughter to a Christmas parade from 11-1 and then and only then were we having 10 kids at our house for a party that started at 2:30. I am exhausted just recounting the days events. Well my husband being the best thing EVER, said "Dont worry I will take care of it" and that was that. When we got home from the parade, we walked into the house and not only was the house completely prepped for the event, but he had made goody bags for the children with mini rolling pins and cookie cutters, he had made chef hats out of tissue paper and oak tag and even made the cupcakes for the children to sing happy birthday. I was in absolute awe. It was like all the years we were married I was always running the show and he was always just taking it all in leanding a hand when I asked. It was so awesome to know that he knew exactly what I would have wanted and what I would have done without even me having to tell him. Now this post is dedicated to our daughters party but it goes without saying that without Ray's help it would not have been nearly as awesome as it should have been. Ray you are the most slammin' dad ON THE PLANET and I just wanted you to know that!! The party was awesome! Here are some pics.
