Today we celebrate Alexa's 8th Birthday. I can not believe how quickly the time goes by. We found our old camcorder which Ray bought for me the Christmas before we had her and we laughed until we cried at how precious she was. We went through all the classics, the birth, the christening and all the first holidays. We were amazed at how simple and carefree life seemed when it was just the three of us. We certainly remembered a quiter house but never the less we would not trade it for the world. Alexa is a special child. She has the poise and compassion like I have never seen. She is a true giver. She has a heart of gold and a curiosity for life like no other. I wish her every ounce of happiness in her lifetime and can only hope that she reach her every potential. The opportunities that await her are endless. Of course, a special kid deserves a special day and we took her to her favorite eatery and topped it off with the best part of every Santanastasio birthday, your very own made for you by dad cake. Now Ray makes a cake for the girls every year based on where their interests lie. This year Alexa has been really into music and dancing so he whipped her up a little music not cake. It may not look like anything award winning but the amount of love that goes into it will take any prize!
