Alexa had her first dance competition this weekend at the Starbound National Talent Competition in Atlanta. The tornados may have wreaked havoc on the city but those girls rocked the stage. They won HighGold for their full company production performance of Beautiful Girls, the won HighGold and Highest Scored Dance for their lyrical performance of Gratitude, they won HighGold for their jazz performance of Move It and they won Gold for their tap performance of CandyMan. It was an amazing afternoon for the girls. Alexa was able to go up on stage and accept the award for their hip hop performance in which her costume is nothing short of show stopping in her sparkly tutu, punked out hair and hand painted graffiti boots (yes we Santanastasios are overachievers and the boots were posted a few weeks ago so check them out). The announcer had to comment on how she looked and wanted to know who designed it. She proudly took the microphone and said "My mamma designed my outfit!". While I can take credit for the vision and the hand painted boots, I have to give a shout out to Jennifer Johnson for producing the most awesome and perfect tutu there is!! It totally completed the ensemble and was exactly what we were going for!!! Here are some pictures.
